Senior Full Stack Application Developer (Java, Angular, AWS)

Job Overview

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking a Senior Full Stack Application Developer to join our Statistical Reporting and Reserves (STAR) team within the Information Technology Services department. This role is pivotal in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our cloud-based financial applications to meet our clients' business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Agile Development: Work in an agile and collaborative environment to design, implement, and test cloud financial applications.
• Project Planning: Participate in project planning processes across various functional areas such as DevOps, SRE, Database Administrators, and Product Managers.
• Technical Story Creation: Create technical enabler user stories and collaborate with the Scrum Master to define sprint goals and objectives.
• System Design: Contribute to product planning meetings, providing input on system options, risks, costs vs. benefits, and impacts on business processes and goals.
• Solution Alignment: Work closely with solution leads to ensure all systems and solutions align with IT strategy and meet security requirements.
• Feature Development: Collaborate with product owners to define business feature requirements and design, build, and configure cloud financial front-end and backend processes using AWS services.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Write unit tests and integration tests to verify functionality and ensure code quality. Perform peer code reviews to ensure high-quality code and implement best practices and standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: Typically requires five or more years of experience in Java and application programming and development.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of information systems and application architecture, including presentation services, business services, and data services.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and self-learning skills.
• Financial Knowledge: Knowledge of financial and accounting principles; experience in the banking sector is a plus.
• Cloud Experience: Experience in driving the entire feature functionality development cycle in a cloud environment, with strong REST API development experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Database Proficiency: Proficiency in working with relational databases such as Postgres and Oracle.
• Testing: Strong experience with unit level and integration level testing.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design ideas and approaches with all stakeholders.
• Agile Principles: Experience with Agile Software Development principles.
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Green card holder with intent to become a U.S. Citizen.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary Range: €113,600 - €181,600 per year.
