Join Redfin as a Senior Software Developer - Search
Redfin is revolutionizing the $75 billion real estate industry with data, beautiful software, and innovative design. As a Senior Software Developer on the Search Team, you will be responsible for building features that empower a user’s home search journey. Our team develops on the Home Details Page and the Search map, the two highest traffic pages for Redfin.com. Our full-stack team builds highly visible consumer-facing UI as well as robust data ingestion pipelines and data services.
Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, resilient, scalable, and high-quality software using React, Java, AWS, and various other tools/libraries.
- Balance the trade-offs between complex infrastructure investments and quick, pragmatic solutions to meet specific business needs.
- Collaborate with other engineering and product stakeholders to define, design, and lead the development of significant multi-person projects.
- Mentor and guide other engineers, providing technical leadership and advocating for best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions are innovative and competitive.
About You
- 5+ years of professional full stack software development experience specifically in React and Java.
- Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle ambiguity, and empathize with customers.
- You are eager to help us in our mission to create a fundamentally better real estate experience for our customers.
