Senior Full-Stack Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our team at Charles River Development, a division of State Street. This role is based in Gdańsk, Poland, and offers a hybrid work environment. As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining various modules or components of our agile scrum team. You will provide engineering troubleshooting assistance to customer support teams and other development teams within Charles River.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions within Charles River’s business and technical problem domains.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create simple and sustainable software solutions for complex problems.
• Direct problem solving for projects or major phases of projects to resolve software technical issues.
• Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications, and projects using Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, or other related software engineering languages.
• Provide informed guidance and critical analysis of proposed changes during code reviews.
• Write unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality product.
• Identify ways of improving development test methodologies and contribute to related test methodology frameworks.
• Conduct manual tests to ensure a high-quality product.
• Provide troubleshooting on large, mission-critical client implementations.
• Engage in the agile software development process by adhering to and advancing the CRD scrum methodology.
• Plan and coordinate cross-team activities to complete assignments.
• Mentor and guide Junior Engineers.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field. MS degree is strongly preferred.
• 4-8 years of experience with the full lifecycle of project development for Java applications.
• Strong skills in core Java, server-side Java technologies, and Spring frameworks using Agile methodologies and SQL databases.
• Experience with frontend technologies like React and Angular, and backend technologies like Kafka and Microservices.
• Experience in financial services developing solutions for Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR, or Wealth Management.
• Nice to have: Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud), and Snowflake.
