Job Overview

As a Senior Full-Stack Python Web Developer at Piñata Rent, you will lead the development of web applications using Django and PostgreSQL. This role involves working on both the front-end and back-end, focusing on delivering efficient, scalable, and robust solutions. You will collaborate with a team of developers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Web Applications: Utilize Python/Django and PostgreSQL to build and maintain web applications.
• Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration between the front-end and back-end.
• Code Optimization: Build efficient, reusable, and scalable code while following best practices for security and performance.
• Database Management: Optimize database queries and ensure data integrity through well-structured schemas and indexing in PostgreSQL.
• API Development: Develop RESTful APIs to power front-end applications and third-party integrations.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously research and adopt new technologies to enhance the development process.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality of the applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development with a strong emphasis on Python.
• Django Expertise: Extensive knowledge of the Django framework, including ORM, authentication, middleware, and best practices.
• Front-End Proficiency: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and experience with front-end libraries/frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular).
• Database Skills: Deep experience with PostgreSQL, including writing complex SQL queries, managing database schema, performance tuning, and backup strategies.
• API Integration: Experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Cloud Services: Experience deploying and managing web applications on cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and using CI/CD pipelines.
• Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to mentor and learn from others.
• Agile Environment: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
