Job Overview
As a Senior Backend Developer at papernest, you will take ownership of the product from a technical standpoint, working closely with development, product, QA, and other teams across Europe. You will challenge product requirements, anticipate technical difficulties, and propose technical solutions. Your role involves ensuring state-of-the-art design and implementation with respect to the global architecture of the platform, developing features ensuring unit and integration test coverage, and ensuring that delivered features work perfectly from integration to production.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the product's technical aspects
- Work closely with various teams to challenge and refine product requirements
- Develop features with a focus on unit and integration testing
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement of team practices
- Mentor junior developers and participate in knowledge sharing
Challenges
You will work on the B2B part of the business, managing integrations with internal and external partners, and covering areas like automation of signing legal documents and billing processes.
Team and Culture
You will be part of a team that values quality and world-class engineering practices like TDD, clean code, and architecture. The team spends at least 20% of their time improving the product technically and prioritizes cross-team knowledge sharing and learning.
Technical Stack
- Backend: Python, Django, Celery, Redis
- Frontend: Angular 16, Redux, RxJS, Jasmine
- Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Continuous Integration and Deployment on GitHub
About You
- At least 4 years of backend development experience in Python
- Expertise in Python and Django
- Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases
- Knowledge of Docker and Git
- Passionate about new technologies and not afraid to take technical initiatives
- Good level of English (written and oral)
