Full Stack Developer with Python, Django, and React

About the Role

Our client, a leading alternative investment firm with over $160 billion in assets under management, is seeking a Full Stack Developer. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying applications that support the firm's investment activities across credit, fixed income, venture capital, and real estate sectors.

Responsibilities

Develop and Maintain Web Applications: Utilize Python, FastAPI, Django, React, and other web development frameworks to build robust applications.
API Development: Create and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs to integrate with various trading or portfolio management systems.
Cloud Deployment: Design and develop solutions optimized for cloud deployment on AWS.
Code Reviews and Technical Discussions: Participate actively in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions to ensure high-quality software development.
Best Practices: Follow best practices for software development, including version control, testing, and continuous integration and delivery.

Requirements

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
Experience: 3-5 years in full stack web development roles.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, FastAPI, Django, React, or other web development frameworks.
Testing: Experience in writing unit tests and mocks.
Cloud and Infrastructure: Familiarity with Terraform and AWS cloud formation.
Methodologies: Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development best practices.

Salary Range

The salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $350,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role, allowing for a combination of on-site and remote work, based in New York, NY.
