About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our Trust and Safety department at Pure App. This role is pivotal in driving our vision for safe and secure dating experiences. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will tackle unique challenges, develop and enhance features critical to user safety and privacy, and work with the latest technologies to make a significant impact on our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Django.
- Design and implement RESTful applications using Django REST Framework.
- Work with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Utilize Celery for task management and SQLAlchemy for database interactions.
- Ensure code quality through testing and use of Docker for containerization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user safety and privacy features.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.
- Strong knowledge of Python and Django.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in writing RESTful applications and using the Django REST Framework.
- Experience with SQLAlchemy and Alembic.
- Familiarity with Celery or Dramatiq.
- Working knowledge of Docker and experience with testing.
