We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Python and Django to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the US.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our healthcare pricing platform. You will work with a small, highly-capable development team where everyone has a significant impact on the growth and direction of the company. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing Django-based websites using Python and PostgreSQL.
• Working with large data sets, including scripting imports, exports, data cleaning, and analysis.
• Writing effective, scalable code and testing and debugging programs.
• Improving the functionality of existing systems and implementing security and data protection solutions.
• Assessing and prioritizing feature requests and coordinating with other team members to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions.

Ideal Qualifications

• Work experience in Python, or strong experience in another programming language with some exposure to Python.
• Expertise in at least one popular Python web framework (preferably Django) or a similar framework in another language (like Ruby on Rails).
• Good understanding of SQL and efficient database usage.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript and HTML5.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with good problem-solving and communication skills.
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience/knowledge.

Bonus Points

• Experience working on open-source projects.
• Experience with git and GitHub.
• Interest in emerging AI development patterns such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agentic Workflows.
• Experience using Pandas, Numpy, or Dask for manipulating and analyzing large datasets.
• Strong writing skills.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time position is €170,000 to €185,000 per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level and reflect the minimum and maximum salary across all US locations. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including equity options, health care plans, unlimited PTO, and more.
