Job Description
Sagetap is seeking an experienced, curious, and collaborative Senior Fullstack Developer to join our fully remote engineering team. As a senior member of an engineering- and innovation-first company, you will be empowered to discuss, design, and implement solutions throughout our platform from ideation all the way to production.
Responsibilities
- Write code in TypeScript, React, and Next.js to develop our front-end systems.
- Write code in Kotlin to develop our back-end systems.
- Communicate clearly with our business and product partners to better understand their requirements, and then help plan, scope, and execute upon them.
- Be an advocate for best practices around testing, design, observability, etc., to maintain the long-term quality and stability of the platform.
- Collaborate with, learn from, and teach others on the team about languages, tooling, techniques, etc.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of software engineering or relevant experience.
- Proficiency in programming with TypeScript and React (Next.js experience is also appreciated).
- Proficiency in programming with Kotlin or similar languages (e.g., Java, C#).
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and confidence with core SQL.
- Experience with git or other version control systems.
- Experience in writing, using, and debugging RESTful APIs.
- An empathetic mindset (for our users and the rest of our team), the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, and a willingness and desire to learn.
- Experience in an online marketplace is strongly preferred.
