Origen.AI, an AI startup in the energy sector, is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer for our Madrid office. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security. The position offers a hybrid work model, with some days in the office and some remote.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate with software development teams to implement and streamline CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient software delivery.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes using tools such as Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and Azure.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, ensuring consistent and reproducible deployments.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and cost-efficiency of cloud resources.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, including performance bottlenecks, network connectivity, and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and design solutions that meet the needs of the business.
- Interact with customers worldwide, providing technical support and aiding them using and integrating their resources with our SaaS product.
- Empower our exceptional scientific team by providing them with the necessary tools to conduct groundbreaking research in the field of reservoir engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience as a Cloud DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Extensive experience with Helm and Kubernetes for container orchestration and management, preferably including working experience with GPU-enabled deployments.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, with expertise in Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automated testing frameworks. We primarily use GitHub Actions, but analogous experience in a similar technology will be considered.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with customers worldwide.
