Job Overview
Join Progressive Insurance as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer/Data Engineer, where you will be a pivotal part of our Claims IT team. This role involves developing and deploying machine learning platform solutions to enhance our machine learning operations. You will be tasked with using data-focused software engineering skills and a variety of programming languages, primarily Python, to solve complex problems and implement innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy machine learning platforms using cloud services and resources.
- Build and manage data pipelines to support Data Science models.
- Enable efficient access to multiple data sources.
- Support the packaging and deploying of new or updated models to production.
- Create infrastructure necessary for model training.
- Work with technologies such as AWS (S3, EC2), Unix/Shell scripting, Bash, Hadoop, Snowflake, Tecton, Terraform, Docker, and more.
- Utilize parallel computing and data manipulation tools like Ray, Dask, Prefect, Spark, and SQL.
- Implement CI/CD automation using tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience, or two years in lieu of a degree.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with cloud services integration.
- Experience with deployment of machine learning models for real-time use cases.
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms and high volume real-time data streams.
