Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Job Overview

As a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and testing AI models, designing and implementing machine learning algorithms, and researching and implementing artificial intelligence techniques. You will utilize deep learning, neuro-linguistic programming, computer vision, chatbots, model fine-tuning, and retrieval augmented generation to help improve various business outcomes and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Develop, and Implement AI Models: Leverage large language models (LLMs) for text generation, audio-to-text transcribing, and call center conversation highlights.
• RAG Models Development: Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) models with vector databases, creating effective embedding, chunking, and indexing strategies to build domain-specific chatbots.
• Integration and Frameworks: Develop Python code and integrate with ML/AI management frameworks like LangChain/LangSmith, Snowflake Cortex, Open AI, Azure AI Studio, and more.
• AI and ML Production Solutions: Create high-level and detailed design plans for AI and ML production solutions, including selecting appropriate AI algorithms, data sources, infrastructure, and technologies that align with the organization's goals and constraints.
• Data Preprocessing: Preprocess and curate text data, including text cleaning, tokenization, and data augmentation to prepare it for training.
• Model Evaluation and Optimization: Conduct experiments and fine-tune models to optimize their performance.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key areas of business where AI solutions can drive significant business benefits.
• Deployment and Monitoring: Deploy AI solutions to production environments and ensure their stability and reliability. Continuously monitor the performance of AI solutions and implement improvements.
• Mentorship: Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the AI team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in AI engineering or related areas.
• 3+ years' experience developing AI or machine learning solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, OpenAI, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
• Experience in using Generative AI including advanced prompting techniques and preferably fine-tuning models.
• Hands-on experience with Deep Learning, LLM, Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other AI frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent understanding of AI concepts and algorithms, including deep learning, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certification in AI or related areas is a plus.
• Familiarity with call center environments and operational insurance platforms is preferred.

Work Environment

This position is remote, allowing you to work off-site while collaborating with a dynamic team.
