Job Overview
Join Smarsh as a Manager of Machine Learning Engineering and lead the Cognition Analytics team, a part of the Cognition Product development team. You will be responsible for both technical leadership and people management, focusing on developing, deploying, and supporting advanced analytics that deliver communications intelligence. This role is crucial in driving actionable insights as part of our FinTech and RegTech Product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to design scalable and efficient Analytic services.
- Lead by example by actively contributing to the design, development, and support of Analytic services in production environments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
- Communicate updates and risks proactively to key stakeholders, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Champion quality of product and service by adopting standards, methods, metrics, and processes.
People Management
- Manage a team of ML engineers, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
- Set clear goals and expectations for the team and provide regular feedback and support.
- Identify opportunities for professional development and growth for team members.
- Foster cross-collaboration and promote knowledge sharing.
Technical Requirements
- Proficiency with JVM languages (Java/Kotlin) and experience in Python.
- Experience in NLP, ML-Ops, and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks/libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
- Strong understanding of ML algorithms, statistical techniques, and data analysis methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud.
- Experience with Amazon SageMaker and Jupyter Notebooks.
- Experience in microservices and event-driven architecture.
- Proficient in containerized platforms like Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in CI/CD tools like Bamboo and ArgoCD.

Salary
- €180,000 - €210,000 per year
