Job Overview
Samsung Ads is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Platform Intelligence (PI) team. This role is pivotal in designing and developing the next-generation machine learning platform that supports thousands of model training pipelines and trillions of daily batch predictions. You will work with Samsung's proprietary data to create large-scale machine learning products with real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop ML Platforms: Create a world-class machine learning platform tailored for Samsung’s advertising business, improving the lead time for model development and deployment.
- Research and Prototype: Investigate the latest machine learning platform technologies and develop quick prototypes or proof-of-concepts.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with internal ML teams, including ML serving and MLOps, to enhance codebase health and ensure high engineering quality.
- Cross-Functional Partnerships: Engage with global partner teams to deliver new ML features and solutions, achieving business objectives.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years in the industry with a Master's degree or 3+ years with a PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
- Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), orchestration tools (Airflow, AWS Step/Lambda), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and monitoring frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Programming Skills: Proficient in Python, Go, SQL, and familiar with data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Machine Learning Frameworks: Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other ML-related frameworks.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to drive cross-functional partnerships.
Preferred Experience
- Cloud and Data Tools: Experience with Snowflake, Snowpark, Redis/Aerospike, and AWS.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the advertising industry and real-time bidding (RTB) ecosystem.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range: €230,000 - €280,000 annually, based on skills and experience.
