Technical Program Manager, External Technical Partnerships

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to support our critical cloud deployments. In this role, you will be an execution owner, driving coordination and collaboration across multiple engineering teams. You will also support the collaboration and technical execution between our internal engineering teams and our major cloud partners, specifically Amazon Bedrock and GCP Vertex AI.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering leaders to define, scope, and sequence major technical initiatives and projects related to cloud partnerships and AI model deployment.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resourcing strategies for technical projects and initiatives.
• Establish scalable program management frameworks, playbooks, and best practices for external technical partnerships.
• Lead cross-functional coordination and planning for complex engineering projects, acting as the liaison between internal teams and external cloud partners.
• Own relationships with key stakeholders at large-scale cloud providers, partnering to develop and execute shared technical roadmaps.
• Provide clear and transparent reporting on program status, issues, and risks to executives and stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of accountability, rigor, and continuous improvement in technical program management.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in technical program management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex technical programs, preferably involving cloud platforms and AI technologies.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing architectures, AI/ML deployment, and integration challenges.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to influence without authority and build cross-organizational support.
• High threshold for navigating ambiguity and ability to balance strategic priorities with rapid, high-quality execution.
• Passionate about Anthropic's mission and committed to ensuring AI is developed safely.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary Range: $300,000 — $320,000 USD
• Equity: For eligible roles, equity will be a major component of the total compensation.

Logistics

• Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
• Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
