About The Role
Anthropic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Employee Acceleration Tools team. This role involves building internal tools to enhance productivity across various departments, including fraud, trust & safety, sales, and support teams. You will work closely with internal users to understand their needs and develop efficient solutions, often incorporating our AI assistant, Claude, to improve user experience and impact.
Responsibilities
- Rapidly prototype and build internal tools for various functions.
- Develop custom internal tools and integrations for complex workflows.
- Consult with different teams to understand their workflows and identify automation opportunities.
- Maintain and iterate on tools based on user feedback to improve utility.
- Monitor tool reliability and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Advocate for interfaces, APIs, and UX designed for usability.
Qualifications
- 3-10+ years of experience in building production full-stack software with a focus on usability.
- Strong communication skills and user empathy to understand needs.
- Proficiency with modern web development stacks.
- Experience with cloud technologies.
- Demonstrated focus on reliability and iterative improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building internal tools.
- Background in fraud, security, or related internal workflows.
- Knowledge of security and privacy best practices.
- Experience balancing trade-offs while maintaining security, privacy, and reliability standards.
Location and Logistics
- This position is part of a Seattle-based team, and preference will be given to candidates based in the Seattle area.
- Hybrid work policy: Expectation to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time.
- Visa sponsorship is available.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range: $300,000 — $405,000 USD.
- Equity: For eligible roles, equity will be a major component of the total compensation.
