About The Role
The Research Tools team at Anthropic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of our Human Feedback Interface. This critical system is designed to collect data to refine and improve our AI models. You will work closely with researchers to develop both front-end and back-end infrastructure, create reusable UI components, and integrate with third-party services.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with researchers to develop infrastructure for interaction models.
- Develop reusable UI components and libraries.
- Implement RPC systems to accelerate data collection and model fine-tuning.
- Monitor and improve system performance.
- Ensure security and privacy of our infrastructure.
- Mentor and support a growing team of engineers.
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, especially in building APIs and user interfaces.
- Expertise in front-end technologies like React, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong coding skills and experience with service-oriented architectures.
- Product-focused with a commitment to building robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
- Experience with NLP and ML models is highly desirable.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with containerization and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and testing automation.
- Familiarity with privacy and security best practices.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $300,000 - $405,000 USD per year.
- Equity compensation for eligible roles.
