About the Role
Join the ZMS Consumer Experience team at Zalando as a Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack). In this role, you will be instrumental in developing solutions and creating experiences for hundreds of partners and millions of Zalando customers. You will work on customer-facing advertising formats, brand storytelling landing pages, and partner-facing content management workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop full-stack web applications with a primary focus on backend development using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, UX Designers, and Data Analysts to drive innovation.
- Implement and optimize platform performance in terms of throughput, read-latency, scalability, and reliability.
- Set up CI/CD pipelines and ensure best practices in DevOps.
- Mentor junior and intermediate engineers, helping them grow in their technical responsibilities.
Required Skills
- Backend: 6+ years of experience in full-stack web applications, strong knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript, experience with RDMS, relational data modeling, and data persistence techniques.
- Frontend: Professional experience with React, understanding of core web and browser concepts, semantic HTML, and CSS.
- DevOps: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, and ElastiCache.
Nice to Have
- Experience with backend languages such as Java or Python.
- Good understanding of visual, unit, and E2E testing.
- Exposure to Data Engineering concepts.
