Are you ready for a new adventure? Polarsteps, based in Amsterdam, is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team. Our mission is to change the way people travel with our innovative app that helps users plan, track, and relive their trips.
About the Role
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our web app development, creating new features that will impact millions of users. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in a collaborative environment to deliver a seamless user experience. Your work will directly influence our app's ratings and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new features for our web app, impacting millions of users.
- Collaborate with the Product team to create prototypes and share your expertise.
- Build internal tools to enhance our development process.
- Engage in daily interactions with cross-functional teams to foster a collaborative environment.
- Improve the resiliency, maintainability, and scalability of our platform by addressing technical debt and preventing it when possible.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong background in frontend development, particularly with React and TypeScript.
- Pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with experience in automated testing and performance optimization.
- Proven track record of developing intuitive and beautiful front-end solutions.
- Experience working in an Agile team environment.
- Keen eye for user experience and design.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Redux Toolkit, Playwright, SWR, Python, and Node.js.
