Overview
HackerOne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer IV to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Principal Engineers to lead technical projects and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. You will be part of a team that interacts with a vibrant community of security researchers and hackers, building features and products that enhance our platform's capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage technical projects, working closely with stakeholders, designers, and product leaders.
- Develop, ship, and maintain highly-available, performant, and durable features, focusing on hacker-facing areas of our platform.
- Collaborate with your team to deliver key results for impactful objectives.
- Participate in cross-squad initiatives to drive innovation and improvement.
- Mentor and be mentored by other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
What You Will Do
- First Month: Engage in our onboarding process, set up your development environment, and familiarize yourself with our engineering processes.
- By Day 90: Demonstrate your technical contributions, earning trust and credibility within your squad and the Engineering team.
- Long Term: Lead important projects, innovate during Hack Weeks, and contribute to the success of our company.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
- Proficiency in dynamically typed, object-oriented programming languages such as JavaScript, Objective-C, PHP, Python, or Ruby.
- Practical experience with SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) and React JS or similar libraries.
- Documented experience leading technical projects through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Must be based remotely in Canada or the US.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails and React JS.
- Experience with GraphQL, Amazon Web Services, and Docker.
Compensation
- Tier A: €164,000 – €175,000
- Tier B: €147,000 – €175,000
- Tier C: €139,000 – €174,000
- Canada: CA$128,000 – CA$160,000
