About The Role
As a Senior Software Development Engineer specializing in Java and Kotlin, you will be responsible for building shared services and platform components for analytic applications. Your tasks will include creating JAX-RS / Spring MVC REST resources, owning your code quality, and testing with JUnit and Mockk. You will also share your experience with others and continue to develop your skills in a collaborative environment.
Team & Product
You will join a team of over 100 software engineers, data scientists, and analysts located in the heart of Prague. The team collaborates closely with Workday teams in Silicon Valley and other locations across Europe and North America. The proprietary “Storyteller” software you will work on is the foundation of Workday’s Augmented Analytics platform, delivering automated analysis of People, Finance, and structured data to business users in natural language.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience with either Kotlin or Java
- Experience creating APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
- Profound understanding of Object-Oriented programming
- Experience with code profiling and performance tuning
Other Qualifications:
- Experience or knowledge of TypeScript, ANTLR, Python (E2E Tests) would be nice to have
