About The Team

Our Analytics DS/ML team in Prague is expanding, and we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join us. This team is a collaborative group of 7 data scientists working closely with over 90 software engineers, data analysts, product managers, site reliability engineers, and software development engineers in test. We are located in the brand-new Masaryčka building and maintain strong ties with the Workday Analytics and ML teams in Silicon Valley.

About The Role

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be involved in:

• Collaborating with software engineers on the Analytical application
• Working with product management on projects such as improving our augmented analytics solution (Storyteller), developing ML projects, and integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into our analytical solution
• Analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
• Designing, executing, and documenting experiments to validate hypotheses and improve model performance
• Engaging in model development, evaluation, deployment, and continuous monitoring
• Communicating results effectively to both technical and business stakeholders

About You

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years of programming experience in Python, R, or Java
• 4+ years experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field
• 1+ years of Python programming (pandas, scikit-learn, jupyter, etc.)
• 1+ years of experience in SQL and working with tabular data

Other Qualifications (nice to have):

• Master's or greater degree in a quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data engineering tools
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Previous experience working on complex technical problems and a track record of being able to identify and solve business problems using data-driven approaches
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proven record of strong communication and analytical skills on projects
• Experience with enterprise architecture software design and contribution to a large-scale software
• Experience with Large Language Models and/or generative AI models
