Senior Software Engineer, Analytics (Mailchimp)

Mailchimp, a leading marketing platform for small businesses, is part of Intuit—a global technology platform that empowers customers to overcome financial challenges with products like TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Credit Karma. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Analytics team at Mailchimp, focusing on building and supporting Audience Platform services within our Customer Data Platform organization.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain web applications: You will build large-scale web applications, focusing on functionality that helps users manage their contact lists, segments, and marketing channels.
- Collaborate across teams: Work closely with engineers across the company to ensure our products are performant and reliable.
- Lead technical initiatives: You will lead the modernization of our capabilities as we build new microservices and decompose legacy services.
- Ensure operational excellence: Maintain and improve practices like monitoring, alerting, and automation to ensure the reliability and performance of our services.
What You'll Bring
- Experience: 3+ years in building and operating large web applications.
- Skills: Strong programming skills in languages like PHP, Kotlin, and Java. Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Expertise: Knowledge in cloud computing platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Leadership: Ability to work cross-functionally, understand customer usage, and lead projects.

- Customer-focused development: Understand how customers use their Audience in application workflows, ideate solutions for recurring problems, and implement features to empower customers.
- Technical guidance: Provide guidance to junior team members on technical best practices and participate in planning, work sizing, and conducting code reviews.
