Senior Software Engineer - Back End

About the Role

Viator, a Tripadvisor company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. This role is primarily focused on back-end development and offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Poland. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of the Viator Experiences Engineering team, which is distributed across Europe and responsible for viator.com, the Viator mobile apps, and all supporting infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and maintenance.
• Release code to production frequently, with a daily release cycle.
• Work primarily on back-end systems using technologies such as Java, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL, and NoSQL databases, all running on AWS.
• Contribute to building systems that help operators grow their businesses and enable third parties to utilize our inventory.
• Provide tools to support our customer services team in delivering world-class service to travelers and operators internationally.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in a statically typed, object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, or C++.
• Experience with back-end web development and cloud services, particularly AWS.
• Familiarity with databases, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Knowledge of GraphQL and TypeScript is a plus.
• A strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
