Role Summary
As a Senior Technical Manager at Viator, you will lead a diverse team of software developers across Europe and India. You will be responsible for the team’s output quality and will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our projects. This position involves hands-on development, technical leadership, and close collaboration with other departments to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 4-8 software developers.
- Engage in hands-on development as needed, using technologies like Java, React, Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to set team priorities and goals.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of growth and learning.
- Ensure high standards of software engineering are maintained throughout the development lifecycle.
What You Will Need
- At least eight years of commercial software development experience.
- Minimum two years in a technical leadership role.
- Strong understanding of system architecture and web development technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
