Join Our Team as a Senior Platform Engineer
Vio.com is on a mission to revolutionize the travel industry by providing travelers with the best accommodation deals worldwide. We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Engineering Platform squad. This team is pivotal in enhancing the software development lifecycle for our engineers by building tools, offering consultancy, supporting product teams, and defining processes that ensure simplicity, scalability, reliability, and security.
What You Will Do
- Design and Develop: Create products and features for our Internal Developer Platform, focusing on infrastructure, observability, and CI/CD.
- Best Practices: Apply software engineering best practices to develop a reliable, scalable, and maintainable ecosystem of platform products.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the squad product manager, engineering manager, and technical lead to refine requirements and scope necessary work.
- Support: Understand challenges faced by other engineering teams, dive into their systems, and support them in adopting our platform products.
- Leadership: Lead complete feature development projects and perform code reviews to improve code and release quality.
- Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship to junior peers and present at demo sessions, guild meetings, or tech talks.
Who You Are
- Experience: At least 5 years as a Platform, DevOps, or Cloud Engineer.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with IaC tools like Terraform, CI/CD frameworks like GitHub Actions, cloud providers like AWS, and monitoring tools like Datadog.
- Development Skills: Experience with backend software development using languages such as Go, Java, or C#.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with a product-oriented mindset.
- Growth Mindset: Eager to learn, grow, and eventually become a technical lead.
- Team Player: Engage actively with your team and the broader engineering group, sharing knowledge and best practices.
