Kraken Digital Asset Exchange is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Crypto team, dedicated to integrating Kraken’s systems with an ever-expanding universe of cryptocurrencies and blockchains. This role is pivotal in developing and supporting crypto operations including deposits, withdrawals, and staking.
The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Integrating our existing systems with new blockchains
- Designing and implementing low-latency, high-availability, and super secure applications
- Writing highly scalable, high volume services
- Designing and optimizing database schemas
- Owning, developing, and maintaining existing crypto services
Skills You Should HODL
- Deep knowledge in one or more blockchain ecosystems such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cosmos, Solana, Substrate
- At least 3 years of backend development experience
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript (Node.js) and/or Rust
- Proficiency in Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Comfortable with GNU/Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of accessibility and security compliance standards
- Expertise in user authentication and authorization across systems
- Grasp of design principles for scalable applications
- Familiarity with automated testing and unit tests
- Proficiency with code versioning tools, such as Git
