About the Role
Monad Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our high-performance Layer-1 blockchain. This role focuses on enhancing the consensus mechanism and other core components of our blockchain protocol.
Responsibilities
- Research and Design: Develop core improvements to the consensus mechanism, gossip protocol, state synchronization algorithm, and leader election protocol.
- Experimentation: Devise experiments to test worst-case scenarios and iterate on designs based on results.
- System Design: Design components considering the behavior of other blockchain systems such as rollups, bridges, or staking systems.
- Development: Build performant system components from scratch using Rust.
Who You Are
- Experience: At least 4 years of software engineering experience, with a focus on backend engineering in Rust, Go, or C++/C.
- Skills: Strong instincts for software architecture and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
