Role Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Edge team within the Product Platform Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in architecting and enhancing our infrastructure, particularly in how it leverages Content Distribution Networks (CDNs). Your efforts will ensure high performance and security at the CDN layer, contributing to the overall reliability and efficiency of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement enhancements to our infrastructure to optimize CDN usage.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate and secure CDN solutions.
- Develop and standardize tools and practices for CDN deployment across the company.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support and troubleshoot CDN-related issues.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with CDN management.
- In-depth knowledge of edge architecture and functionality.
- Proficient in DevOps practices and open-source environments.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols including DNS, TCP, TLS, and HTTP.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with cloud environments and service mesh technologies is a plus.
