Job Description
Join Block's Ecommerce Editor Team as a Software Engineer (Frontend/Fullstack) and help shape the future of online commerce. Our team is responsible for the Online Store website editor, empowering thousands of sellers to create their own online stores effortlessly. We are looking for a passionate full stack engineer to work on both our large-scale front-end editor application and the back-end systems that support it.
Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to enhance our website builder and online store platform.
- Drive the architecture of our frontend systems to enable rapid and stable feature development.
- Build elegant user-facing web experiences that combine intuitive interfaces with smooth performance at scale.
- Own the entirety of your features, writing testable and well-documented frontend and backend code.
- Develop systems that manage sensitive customer data while maintaining the highest standards for security and compliance.
- Collaborate with a talented group of engineers, leveraging your technical expertise to constantly raise the bar.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 3+ years of practical experience building frontend applications, preferably using VueJS.
- 3+ years of practical full stack development experience, ideally with PHP and Laravel.
- Experience building large web applications in a distributed environment and making pragmatic engineering decisions.
- Interest in working full-stack, from optimizing database transactions to building distributed systems and frontend web applications.
- A track record of pursuing self-directed side projects, research, or open source projects.

Salary Range
- Zone A: $163,600—$245,400 USD
- Zone B: $155,400—$233,200 USD
- Zone C: $147,300—$220,900 USD
- Zone D: $139,000—$208,600 USD
