Job Description
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Backend Infrastructure team at Block, you will be part of the Proto team, which focuses on accelerating the world’s transition to a more open economy. The Proto team is responsible for initiatives like Bitcoin mining and Bitkey, a self-custody Bitcoin wallet. Your role will involve heavy collaboration across various disciplines including mobile, server, web, firmware, and security to enhance our product development.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a continuous delivery pipeline for Bitkey applications.
- Manage and secure infrastructure handling customer keys and enhance platform security.
- Maintain node infrastructure for blockchain interactions.
- Improve infrastructure visibility through better tracing, metrics, logging, and alerting.
- Collaborate with foundational and security teams at Block for cross-functional projects.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in backend services.
- Proficient in technologies like Terraform, Atlantis, AWS, Rust, Docker, and DataDog.
- Experience in infrastructure management across hardware, mobile, and backend services is a plus.
- Ability to navigate architectural decisions and prioritize system bottlenecks effectively.
