Job Description
As a Senior Front-End Engineer at Proto, a division within Block, you will be instrumental in driving the front-end development of our initiatives like mining tools and a self-custody wallet, Bitkey. Your role will involve:
- Designing, building, and owning design systems and content management system integrations.
- Contributing to systems and standards for our marketing platforms across all product lines within Proto.
- Defining and implementing analytics and experimentation architecture.
- Collaborating across multiple teams to deliver solutions in a startup-like environment within a larger company.
- Evaluating and documenting engineering standards and patterns.
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in front-end development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks like React, NextJS, Vue, and Svelte.
- Experience with CSS, Tailwind, Framer Motion, GSAP, and client-side analytics.
- Strong understanding of web standards, browser performance, SEO optimization, and basic UX/UI principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members across disciplines.
Additional Information
Block offers competitive salaries based on location and market conditions. The salary range for this position, depending on the location within the US, is:
- Zone A: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
- Zone B: USD $188,100 - USD $282,100
- Zone C: USD $178,200 - USD $267,400
- Zone D: USD $168,300 - USD $252,500
