Meta is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. This role is pivotal in designing and developing the core backend software components that power Meta's vast array of products used by billions worldwide. Responsibilities

• Design and Develop: Create core backend software components using primarily C/C++, Java, PHP, and Hack.
• Collaborate: Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa.
• Review and Improve: Conduct design and code reviews to enhance efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.
• Ownership: Establish yourself as an owner of a particular component, feature, or system with expert end-to-end understanding.
• Project Management: Successfully complete projects of large scope while maintaining a consistent high level of productivity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years of programming experience in relevant languages and building large-scale infrastructure applications.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Hack.
• Problem Solving: Experience in designing, analyzing, and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of system resources.
• Leadership: Track record of setting technical direction for a team and driving successful cross-functional partnerships.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Architectural Knowledge: Exposure to architectural patterns of large-scale software applications.
• Programming Languages: Experience in C, C++, and Java.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $70.67/hour to $208,000/year
• Additional Compensation: Bonus and equity
