Meta is seeking experienced full-stack Software Engineers to join our product teams. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building new features and improving existing products like Messenger, Video, Groups, News Feed, and Search. You will tackle unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems and help us connect the next billion people.

Responsibilities

• Engage in full stack web/mobile application development using a variety of coding languages.
• Create consumer products and features using Meta's internal programming language, Hack.
• Implement web or mobile interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate closely with our PM and design teams to define feature specifications and build products leveraging frameworks such as React & React Native.
• Work with operations and infrastructure teams to build and scale back-end services.
• Develop report interfaces and data feeds.
• Set direction and goals for the team regarding project impact, product quality, and engineering efficiency.
• Lead major initiatives, projects, teams, rollouts, and phased-releases.
• Mentor new team members and enable successful ramp-up on your team's code bases.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of programming experience in a relevant programming language.
• 7+ years of experience building large-scale applications or similar experience.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Hack.
• Proven experience leading major initiatives successfully.
• Experience leading projects and teams.
• Demonstrated ability to build and ship high-quality work and achieve high reliability.
• Experience improving quality through thoughtful code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes.
• Proficient in utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Swift, or Kotlin.

Compensation

• Salary: $85.10/hour to $251,000/year
• Additional compensation includes bonus, equity, and benefits.
