Meta is seeking experienced full-stack Software Engineers to join our product teams. As a Senior Software Engineer in Infrastructure, you will be part of the team that creates all of Meta's products used by billions of people around the world. You will have the opportunity to build new features and improve existing products like Messenger, Video, Groups, News Feed, and Search. You will solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems and help us connect the next billion people.

Responsibilities

• Design core, backend software components: You will be responsible for designing and developing the core backend components that power Meta's infrastructure.
• Code using primarily C/C++, Java, PHP, and Hack: Utilize your expertise in these programming languages to build robust and scalable systems.
• Interface with other teams: Collaborate with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa.
• Conduct design and code reviews: Ensure the quality and efficiency of the codebase through thorough reviews.
• Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability: Continuously work on improving the performance of various system resources.
• Set direction and goals for the team: Lead the team in achieving project impact, product quality, and engineering efficiency.
• Lead major initiatives, projects, teams, roll-outs, and phased-releases: Take charge of significant projects and ensure their successful execution.
• Mentorship and onboarding: Help onboard new team members, provide mentorship, and enable successful ramp-up on your team's codebases.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of programming experience in a relevant programming language.
• 7+ years of experience building large-scale infrastructure applications or similar experience.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Hack.
• Proven experience leading major initiatives successfully.
• Experience building and shipping high-quality work and achieving high reliability.
• Experience improving quality through thoughtful code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java.

Compensation

• Salary Range: €85,100 to €251,000 per year
• Equity and Bonuses: In addition to base compensation, Meta offers equity and bonuses.
