What You Will Accomplish

• Building large scale applications: Develop low latency APIs, data pipelines, and focus on capability-oriented architecture.
• Machine Learning Models: Build models to generate insights leveraged across eBay.
• Software Lifecycle Management: Oversee aspects of the software lifecycle including design, development, testing, and experimentation.
• Strategic Partnerships: Partner with architects, business leaders, and industry experts to devise strategy and solutions.
• Mentorship: Lead by example and mentor junior team members to guide them to success.

What You Will Bring

• Self-driven: Ability to get things done with a constant desire to improve and learn.
• Programming Skills: Exceptional skills in Java/Scala.
• API Development: Experience building and consuming horizontally scalable RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and distributed systems.
• Big Data Technologies: Experience with technologies like Spark, Flink, and Kafka.
• AI/ML Technology: Experience with AI/ML technology is a plus.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years (or) a MS in Computer Science and 7+ years of software design and relevant experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected to be between $149,200 and $234,850. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
