As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java, you will join our technology team to disrupt the status quo through relentless product innovation. This role involves engineering a new technology stack for a real-time market data system that services global markets.
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality, testable code with performance in mind.
- Maintain system reliability, testability, recoverability, fault tolerance, throughput, and latency.
- Design scalable and maintainable modern applications.
- Collaborate with other developers and business lines to efficiently gather and store information for audits and statistics.
- Participate in business requirements gatherings, system design, and software architecture sessions.
- Analyze and recommend technologies and tools to improve efficiency and quality of the development process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in Java or equivalent demonstrable software engineering experience.
- Experience with Kafka is desirable.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles.
- Competence with version control tools and JIRA.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
