Job Overview
BitMEX, a leading crypto derivatives exchange, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Mobile) to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in developing our cutting-edge mobile application, enhancing the BitMEX trading experience for our users. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mobile applications using React Native, JavaScript, Kotlin, and Swift.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers: Work closely with cross-functional teams to prototype and deliver breakthrough user experiences.
- Enhance Engineering Culture: Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and lead by example with solid coding practices.
- Ensure Smooth User Experience: Write well-tested and highly performant code to guarantee a seamless user experience.
- Develop Mobile Applications: Focus on the development of the BitMEX React Native mobile application for iOS and Android.
- Mentor Junior Engineers: Provide guidance on coding practices, design philosophies, and engineering craft.
- Explore New Technologies: Regularly review code and evaluate new stack components and architecture ideas.
Qualifications
- Experience with JavaScript and React Native: Proven track record in developing mobile applications using these technologies.
- Mobile End-to-End Testing: Experience in scaling mobile applications to a large diversity of devices.
- Data-Driven Product Development: Ability to make complex, data-driven products accessible to consumers.
- UX Trends and Concepts: Familiarity with current UX trends and a curiosity for new UX concepts.
- Team Collaboration: Demonstrable ability to work in small teams and take ownership of product features.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to focus and dive deep into code to emerge with new insights and solutions.
- Passion for Innovation: Keen interest in technological innovation and the crypto space.
