Weights & Biases is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of Weave, our innovative toolkit for tracking and evaluating GenAI applications. Responsibilities

• Develop Open-Source APIs: Implement robust and ergonomic open-source client APIs to enhance our platform's capabilities.
• Integrate with LLM Tools: Design and implement integrations with popular LLM tools such as LlamaIndex, LangSmith, and Instructor.
• Optimize Backend Performance: Scale and improve our backend performance to support low latency and high volume production use cases.
• Create User-Friendly Features: Build polished and delightful features such as multi-modal evaluations, LLM playgrounds, and dataset editing/drill-down capabilities.
• Engage with Users: Actively meet with and iterate based on customer feedback, understanding their workflows and addressing key bugs.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience: At least 4 years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Python and/or TypeScript.
• GenAI Experience: Experience (personal or professional) building GenAI-powered applications.
• Adaptability: Ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity and adapt rapidly to a changing business environment.
• Preferred: Experience managing large-scale online production services or OLAP databases.

Salary

The US base pay for this position ranges from $177,000 to $245,000 per year, depending on geographic location and experience.
