Lattice is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. We are committed to enhancing our product and our craft using a modern tech stack that prioritizes developer productivity and delight. Our team is highly collaborative, working closely with designers and product managers to deliver a robust and performant codebase.

What You Will Do

Build Software: Develop software that empowers organizations by integrating AI/ML technologies, focusing on large language models (LLMs).
Collaborate: Work with other engineers to build and own products across a modern tech stack, including NodeJS, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL, hosted on AWS.
Design Systems: Implement systems to ensure high-quality outputs from AI/ML systems in production.
Monitor and Debug: Develop and maintain monitoring systems for LLM-based applications, and assist in debugging existing applications to optimize functionality and performance.
Drive Projects: Lead complex projects requiring cross-functional collaboration with product managers and other engineering teams.
Improve Practices: Contribute to our engineering practices, especially in AI/ML integration, to enhance team output.

What You Will Bring

Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in writing and maintaining production-level applications, with at least 2 years in AI/ML technologies.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in full stack development using modern programming languages like Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
AI/ML Expertise: Experience in implementing and maintaining AI/ML systems in production environments.
Database Knowledge: Strong SQL skills for data modeling and query optimization in relational databases like PostgreSQL.
Problem Solving: Ability to debug software defects, especially those related to AI/ML components, and propose improvements.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex AI/ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Experience with TypeScript and React.
Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers.
Experience with cloud-based AI/ML services like AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI, or Azure Machine Learning.
