Job Description
Amazon's Advertising Technology team is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join the Amazon Publisher Cloud (APC) team. This role is based in New York, United States, and offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that intersects advertising, secure signal collaboration, and cloud services.
About the Team
The Advertising Technology team at Amazon builds the infrastructure and ad serving systems that manage billions of advertising queries daily. This results in higher quality advertising for publishers and more relevant ads for customers. The Amazon Publisher Services (APS) helps publishers monetize their content effectively across all channels and devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and guide the development of end-to-end systems optimized for low latency and high transactional scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional software development and engineering teams to solve complex problems.
- Ensure high operational standards of system availability and reliability.
- Engage in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with the full software development life cycle.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience with Big Data Technologies like Elastic Map Reduce (EMR) and Spark.

Compensation
The base salary for this position ranges from $129,300 to $223,600 per year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a total compensation package, which may include equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
