Software Engineer (Frontend) - Growth Engineering

The Opportunity

Postman is investing in a Growth Engineering team to enhance the onboarding experience for developers and teams. This role focuses on optimizing the sign-up and onboarding process, helping users discover the full potential of Postman, and guiding them to key activation moments that lead to a more engaging and sticky product experience.

Responsibilities

Own and Deliver: Implement improvements to the core product experience to enhance onboarding and activation.
Deliver Little Big Changes: Make small, impactful changes that significantly affect user engagement and activation.
Experiment and Identify Winners: Utilize and improve the existing experimentation framework to ship A/B tested changes that align with our goals.
Own End-to-End Workflows: Understand and improve core workflows, focusing on first-time user experiences such as sign-up and onboarding.
Deeply Understand the User: Collaborate with end users to understand their workflows and use this knowledge to enhance the product.
Learn and Grow: Expand your knowledge of the core product and domain, starting with first-time UX and eventually improving deeper user experiences.
Collaborate Across Boundaries: Work with team members across the US and India to streamline collaboration.

About You

Must Have:
- At least 2+ years of experience in building frontend or full-stack projects.
- Proven track record of delivering engaging user experiences.
- Deep expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with experience in frameworks like React or Next.js.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on product experience.
- Analytical mindset with experience in using analytics tools and experimentation techniques.
- Customer-focused approach.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience in a React application with state management tools like MobX.
- Experience working on B2B products and/or developer tools.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: €177,607 - €240,292 per year.
Equity: Competitive equity package.
