Job Overview
As a Senior Frontend Engineer in our Cloud Platform Team, you will be instrumental in designing and building intuitive and powerful frontend experiences to support the tooling needs of the Postman engineering organization. You will collaborate with backend engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to create solutions that enhance the productivity and efficiency of our internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Create high-quality, responsive user interfaces using modern frontend technologies. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including backend engineers, designers, and product managers to define and implement innovative solutions. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
- Tooling and Integration: Develop tools and components that support the workflows of other engineering teams. Integrate with backend services and APIs to deliver comprehensive frontend solutions.
- Maintenance and Improvement: Continuously improve the frontend codebase by refactoring and optimizing as needed. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in frontend development, preferably in a SaaS or cloud platform environment. Proven experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related web technologies. Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling. Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
