About the Role
Affirm is seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join our Identity Foundations team within the Trust and Safety domain. This team is responsible for building sophisticated data layers and interfaces that manage essential user data, supporting numerous RPCs integral to the checkout process. The role involves designing and writing high-quality code to increase Identity users' conversion rates, providing technical leadership, and working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and write high-quality code to enhance user conversion rates.
- Provide technical leadership and actively contribute to technical discussions.
- Collaborate with engineers on project definition, design, technical specification, and delivery.
- Build relationships and drive coordination across engineering and partner organizations.
- Mentor less-experienced team members through code reviews and guidance.
What We Look For
- 2+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Strong experience in building, launching, and maintaining complex systems.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud service providers like AWS.
- Familiarity with data frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Airflow.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Compensation
- Base Pay Range: $160,000 - $210,000 per year (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT)
- Base Pay Range: $142,000 - $192,000 per year (all other U.S. states)
- Equity Grade: 6
