Affirm is seeking a dynamic Senior Software Engineer to join our Consumer Pricing team. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining critical services and platforms essential to Affirm's business success. As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will ensure high availability and adhere to best practices to achieve this.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and Optimize: Develop and scale pricing tools and user interfaces to provide the best payment options for Affirm customers.
• Service Maintenance: Build and maintain services that store pricing data.
• System Design: Plan, design, communicate, and implement reliable, scalable, and extensible software systems.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to define and deliver on our product and technical roadmaps.
• Leadership: Lead by example to establish a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, and personal growth.
• Technical Discussions: Facilitate technical discussions and plans to improve software quality.

What We Look For

• Technical Proficiency: Fluent in frontend and full stack development with proficiency in JavaScript, React, CSS, Python, and MySQL.
• Experience: Prior experience in architecting, building, launching, and maintaining complex software systems.
• Communication Skills: Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
• Industry Experience: Prior startup experience or experience in financial systems (Bank, Treasury, Payments, Trading, Portfolio Management) is a plus.
• Education: This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary Range: $169,000 - $240,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
