The Role

As a Software Engineer at Flume Health, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing robust systems that enable efficient data integration and transaction processing. You'll work with a talented team to drive forward-thinking solutions in a complex environment.

What You’ll Do

Help design, develop and maintain backend systems focused on transaction processing, data accessibility, and integrations.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to solution, plan and execute on feature and capabilities development from start to finish, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Drive reliability and scalability across our systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
Assist in defining and advocating for internal standards on code style, maintainability, and best practices.

What You’ll Need

2+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on building scalable distributed systems.
Proficiency in Go and cloud system engineering including writing services in Go.
Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous problems and participate in driving solutions from proposal to implementation.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Desire to work cross functionally using several technologies including Python and Javascript.

Nice to Haves

Experience in a compliance-heavy environment.
Familiarity with health insurance industry data (claims, eligibility, EDI, etc.).
Previous experience working directly with healthcare data integrations.

Salary

$125,000 - $160,000 per year
