We are a remote-first studio headquartered in Irvine, California, with a diverse team spread across the United States.
About The Internship
Join the 2025 Second Dinner internship class and contribute to shaping our internship experience. This fully remote internship will last approximately 12 to 13 weeks, with opportunities to work from our Irvine office if you are local.

Your Role
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work with the engineering team behind Marvel SNAP. You will report to a senior engineer who will mentor you in video game tools development. Your role will involve working within the tools team to accelerate our ability to ship high-quality content, increase automation capabilities, and innovate in game development tooling.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement tools, workflows, and pipelines with the help of your mentor and team members.
- Become a fully integrated member of the tools team, participating in Agile-style meetings such as daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Attend regular meetings with your mentor to discuss progress, ask questions, and receive guidance.
- Participate in weekly playtests and enjoy playing video games.
Requirements
- Experience programming in an object-oriented language such as C#, Java, C++, or TypeScript.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Growth mindset and passion for learning new technologies and skills.
- Strong technical and personal communication skills.
- Highly responsive attitude, collaborative, and supportive of team members.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Experience with Unity or other game engines.
- Experience building command line tools.
- Experience with content creation tools or APIs (e.g., Asana, Google Scripts API).
- Game development experience.
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled at a university or college and returning there after this internship.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Compensation
- $40.00 per hour
