Join Stripe as a Software Engineer in the Money as a Service Team
Stripe is seeking talented Software Engineers to join our Money as a Service (MaaS) organization. This team is pivotal to Stripe's mission of increasing the GDP of the internet by simplifying the complexities of money movement and storage for our users. As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on critical business areas such as Accounts and Connect, Money Movement and Storage, and Banking as a Service.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Scope, design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and large-scale systems that handle billions of money movement requests efficiently and reliably.
- Debug and solve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Mentor engineers to help them grow and succeed in their careers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to build new features at large-scale, while improving internal engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Work effectively in a distributed and hybrid team, maintaining open communication and strong connections with colleagues.
Who You Are
We are looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
- 2+ years of industry experience in backend or fullstack engineering (excluding internships and co-ops).
- Strong coding skills in any programming language, with the ability to learn new languages on the job.
- Strong collaboration skills, capable of working across workstreams within your team and contributing to your peers’ success.
- Ability to thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Interest in working as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks to solve problems and delight both internal and external users.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale financial tracking systems.
- Good understanding and practical knowledge in cloud-based services (e.g., gRPC, GraphQL, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS).
Work Environment
This role is available as a remote position, allowing you to work from a location that suits you best. While you are welcome to visit our offices for team meetings and events, the expectation is that you will primarily work from home.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: €150,500 - €269,200 per year.
- Additional benefits include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
