About The Team
The Money Movement and Storage (MMS) team at Stripe is crucial to the company's operations. This team works towards a future where the complexities of handling money, such as accepting different currencies and integrating with global banks, are simplified for users. The team's work supports essential Stripe products like Connect, Issuing, and Corporate Card, aiming to make it easy to build global products that handle money.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities
- Scope, design, build, and maintain APIs and services that handle billions of money movement requests.
- Apply a detail-oriented mindset to dissect information, analyze data, and detect patterns that lead to cost savings.
- Debug and solve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Mentor engineers to help them grow.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to build new features at large-scale, improving internal engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Who You Are
We're looking for candidates with a strong technical background, including 5+ years of software engineering experience. You should have experience with project leadership and mentoring engineers, and be familiar with the full life cycle of software development. Strong coding skills and analytical capabilities are essential, particularly in modeling complex business flows and turning business requirements into programmatic artifacts such as data models, algorithms, and API designs.
Hybrid Work at Stripe
This role is available either in an office or a remote location, typically 35+ miles from a Stripe office. Office-assigned employees spend at least 50% of their time in the local office or with users, balancing in-person collaboration with flexibility.
Pay and Benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $136,800 - $205,200. Additional benefits include equity, company bonus, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
