About The Team
The Payins team at Stripe is dedicated to developing products and platforms that facilitate payment acceptance, including high-volume and complex payment methods like cards. This role involves working within multiple teams in the Payins organization, with final team alignment determined at the end of the hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Scope, design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems for handling billions of transactions.
- Apply analytical skills to dissect information, analyze data, and identify cost-saving patterns.
- Debug and solve critical production issues across services and stack levels.
- Mentor early-career engineers and contribute to their growth.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop new features and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Who You Are
We are looking for candidates with a strong technical background, significant software engineering experience, and a talent for project leadership. Familiarity with the entire software development lifecycle and strong coding skills are essential. Experience in the fintech space, particularly payment processing, is preferred but not required.
Hybrid Work at Stripe
This role offers flexibility with options for both office-based and remote work. Office-assigned employees are expected to spend at least 50% of their time in the local office or with users, balancing in-person collaboration with individual flexibility.
Pay and Benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $157,600 - $244,700. Additional benefits include equity, company bonuses, 401(k) plan, and comprehensive health benefits. Wellness stipends are also provided to support your overall well-being.
